Bonnie is a beautiful, elegant and majestic dog – a true jewel. She was found on highway left behind by her owner. She is about 3 years old. Bonnie is most likely a Western Siberian Laika (or WSL) – Siberian aboriginal breed of spitz-like hunting dogs. Bonnie would benefit from a lot of exercise, as all dogs who belong to this highly athletic breed. Siberian Laikas are known to be very affectionate towards their owners, tough experience with this breed might be helpful. She knows some commands, is house broken and good on the leash. Laikas can be highly territorial, so Bonnie should be the only dog. We do not know how she behaves around the cats, but given her hunting nature she can potentially treat cats like game, though many Laikas are able to distinguish between wild game and domesticated animals. With the right family, we think Bonnie will be a wonderful pet.
