If you have never met an Angel then let me introduce Grom ❗️
Grom is absolutely special. There is not one mean bone in his body, even though this 2.5 year old Borzoi Mix learned way too early what a cruel world he was born into.
Since puppyhood his life was horror and fear. He was regularly beaten by all members of his family, and he was starved. During the times when he was able to escape he was seen barely getting by in search for food. When he was finally rescued, he was malnourished, had many injuries, including a broken nose and a broken jaw, an old injury no one bothered to tend to, of course. As a result, the jaw bones didn’t fuse correctly but fortunately it does not cause Grom any inconvenience now.
It has been a year and a half since he came to the shelter. His body is healed and his mind is happy. He is big baby who loves life and enjoys every minute of it. He loves adults, kids of all sizes, dogs, cats, and he always shines his angelic smile to everyone he meets..
Grom knows leash, and he waits to go outside. Healthy, vaccinated, neutered.
Why he is still at the shelter you ask? Because in Russia he is not needed. A dog with “a flaw” will never find a home there. And because of his size the transportation to US is enormously expensive.
But before we can flip a page, and call it a Happy End Grom needs to find a family and we need to raise $2000 to fly him here.
