About Pele
THE SWEETEST SPECIAL NEEDS PUP IS HOPING TO BE ADOPTED🙏
We need a Miracle for Pele!
With your overwhelming support, this beautiful, special needs boy is ready to come home and be seen by a specialist, and we need a very special human for him.
Pele is between 3-4 years old, neutered, vaccinated, and healthy boy. He is one of the most devastating cases we have ever encountered in rescue.
Pele was rescued in the country of Georgia, where he was abused, maimed, and thrown under the car by his original owner. As a result, Pele has only one functioning leg: two legs have been amputated, and his third leg is not functioning. Despite his horrible past, Pele is the best, sweetest, most loving boy. Pele is house-trained, and gets himself outside to do his business – he is very clean and never has accidents at his foster home. He loves his humans and shows his love and gratitude any chance he gets. He lives with other dogs and cats and is a perfect gentleman with everyone he meets.
He is very affectionate, sweet, cuddly, and loves attention (he can “talk” to you, and the foster swears he can say her name! :)).
Amazingly, Pele is happy, content, and has adapted very well to his disability. He scoots around easily, and has even learned to jump up on a couch. He has never tried a wheelchair, and we are hopeful that he can be evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon (to see if his other leg can possibly be corrected and if there is a way for him to use a wheelchair).
We are looking for a family who would not be intimidated by Pele’s special needs, and will be able to see this beautiful soul for who he really is.
We need someone who would not give up on him. Despite his serious disability, Pele is very gentle and is easy to take care of (he does not require any additional care or long daily walks).
However, the owner needs to be committed to working with us on trying to improve Pele’s mobility. If you are interested in Pele, please contact us.
