Petrushka is young and somewhat timid boy. He was a little afraid of people, but now he is getting used to them and becoming more brave. He still needs a little time to get used to new people, and once he does he starts playing and fooling around. We are unsure how he is with children, possibly he will be afraid of noisy kids and will hide from them. Or maybe he will get used to them and will eventually play with them. He has no aggression. Petrushka is neutered, vaccinated and healthy, except for the paws.
Rescue notes on Petrushka:
A small puppy was hit by a huge truck, that not only knocked him down, but also dragged him with wheels several meters and took off. Petrushka was left alone, with his pain and fear. How long he lay on the road without help is unknown .. Many cars drove by and only one guy responded to take him to the clinic. The surgeon examined Petrushka and said that it was impossible to save the paw. We contacted Moscow and St. Petersburg clinics, as we wanted to try to send the puppy to be checked by an expert surgeon to hopefully save the leg. However, the local doctor himself decided to amputate Petrushka’s leg. He explained that the bone seemed to have rotted and did not even try to save the limb. The second broken hind leg on the same side was repaired unsuccessfully. The paw does not bend, Petrushka simply rests on it like on a crutch. He needs a special wheelchair to be able to move freely. Petrushks is thin-boned and tall, like a reed, but with age he might gain some weight.
