|Age:||8-9 Years Old|
A hit and run on a major highway left Suri bleeding and unable to move. The car kept going. Suri laid on the road with internal injuries, heavy bleeding, and two severely broken legs.
A kind local woman stopped and brought Suri to a nearby clinic. Suri was a survivor, and wanted to live: it was an uphill battle, but she fought hard for her life. One leg was completely crushed, and had to be amputated. The stump got infected, and she had to have a second surgery to amputate the stump. The other leg was saved with extensive surgery and hardware. Her internal injuries were serious, and it took a long time for her to heal.
Suri is an older dog. We estimate she is currently 8-9 years old. Very sweet, unassuming, grounded, and friendly. Suri is very well behaved and is a shelter favorite for her sweet personality. She has lived her life in a small rural shelter, in a small outdoor doghouse, and we are hoping to help find her a family to live out her golden years. Suri is healthy and active – but has slowed down a bit recently – mostly because Russian winters are tough on her older body, and it is COLD there now!
We are hoping she can have a warm dog bed, decent food, and some company this winter instead of the outdoor doghouse. Suri is spayed and up to date on all vaccines.Adopt Me
